A condensing boiler converts considerably more usable heat from its fuel than the non-condensing variety.
The much higher operating efficiency of a condensing boiler is due in part to the design of its larger,
sometimes dual, heat exchanger.
This ensures that the heat transferred from the boiler's burner is maximised and the heat lost in gases
through the flue is minimised.
Condensing Boilers
The two main types of condensing boiler are regular and combination. Regular condensing boilers use a
hot water cylinder to heat the water. Combination condensing boilers provide instant hot water without
needing a cylinder.
A combination boiler will not be appropriate for all home heating systems, but we will be happy to advise
you which type of condensing boiler, combination or regular will be most suitable for your home.
An Allgas installed A-rated condensing boiler also uses about a third less fuel than an older boilers need
to provide the same amount of heat.
